Kiro’o Games’ Aurion Transforms to Animation
Cameroonian company, Kiro’o Games has partnered with female animator, Mouni Aram to transform their game, Aurion: Legacy of the Kori-odan into an animated series.
Aurion: Legacy of the Kori-odan is an action Role-playing game (RPG) that follows the story of exiled King Enzo Kori-Odan and his wife, as they fight to reclaim his throne. Since its release, the game has spawned a comic and will now become an animation.
However, according to Kiro’o Games CEO Olivier Madiba “a younger heroine of the same period” will lead the story which is being called Caloo Hunters.
Season 1 of the series has been completed with talks underway with potential broadcasters.

More About Triggerfish Animation Studio’s Pan-African Project, Tribe
After an initial mysterious poster of an upcoming project on social media, more details have surfaced about Triggerfish Animation Studio’s animated project, Tribe.
Set in a world where only women manifest magic, Tribe follows the story of a mother named, Timba, who marries a despot who uses her abilities for himself. Fearing for her child, Timba makes the decision to escape with her daughter to find refuge.
Tribe is being produced by Ndiani Studios, award-winning Triggerfish Animation Studio and being directed by Tendayi Nyeke.
Nyeke is an award nominated development executive, former Council Member of Writer’s Guild SA . She has contributed greatly to the Comexposed Community as a speaker at the Comexposed Convention 2017 and most recently as a facilitator at Converge 2021 where she talked about opportunities for local digital artists and story tellers on local productions for Netflix, Showmax etc.
Tribe is currently in the development stage, waiting on designers, broadcasters and designers to help bring it to life.

Look Out For Home Of Our Dreams
Set in the future of 2160, Ulegi: Home of Our Dreams is 2D African sci-fi animation. In the land of Ulegi, a technological city that floats above a submerged Lagos, a group of friends attempt to uncover the truth about a strange seismic activity and its connection to an oppressive and secretive tech company known as Suretech.
The animated short film is directed by Somtochukwu Onubogu and is currently still in production phase. This film has been spotlighted by Cartoon Brew as one of the “most promising animations” showcased during the Nigeria Focus at Annecy’s MIFA festival.

Crunchyroll Snatches Up New Anime Movie
American anime and manga distribution platform, Crunchyroll have acquired the rights for anime feature, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Scarlet Bond. The film is based on the bestselling novel by Fuz and illustrated by Mitz Vah and the anime series of the same name.
The movie will pick up after Season 2 of the series and follow a different story line in which a conspiracy hovers over a mysterious power known as “Queen” in the small country of Raja.
But when Hiiro, a survivor of the Ogre race crosses paths with a slime evolved into a Demon Lord named Rimuru Tempest, a great adventure packed begins.
The movie will debut in November 2022 in Japan and then in 2023 at all major global territories.
