NEWS OUT OF AFRICA – Comics/Gaming

Malika: Warrior Queen Volume 1 Has Officially Arrived in US Stores!

Just this year, YouNeek Studio entered a partnership with Dark Horse, that will see the publishing and entertainment giant release ten existing and new graphic novels from the studio. Now, the first book in the line up, Malika: Warrior Queen is available in stores within the US.

This new Dark Horse edition contains bonus art, a sketchbook section, one-shot stories as well as a Q & A with founder and writer, Roye Okupe.

Drawing from African history and mythology this book is sure to be an exciting read for fans of sci-fi, fantasy and superheroes stories.

Readers can also look forward to Malika: Warrior Queen Volume 2 which will be made available in December. Prior to that, YouNeek Studio’s E.X.O: Legend of Wale Williams Volume 1 will be released in bookstores on 19 October, 2021 and then in comic shops on 20 October, 2021.

When the book will be available for fans in Africa is yet to be revealed, however given the limited distribution channels could be a problem for Dark horse and YouNeek. Digital copies could be the best route. Until then…
