Africa’s First Mecha Comic!
Nigerian multimedia publishers, Comic Republic, have announced the coming arrival of what they’ve dubbed as the first ever African mecha comic
Mecha is a genre that has largely appeared amongst Japanese anime and manga. It features pretty much anything mechanical from robots to space stations, cyborgs and androids. Think Darling in the Franxx or the Hiroshi Sakuraza’s All You Need Is Kill, from which the film Edge of Tomorrow was adapted.
Comic Republic’s new comic, Assegai #1. promises robots and giant machines but with an African angle. Look out for it on the Comic Republic website.

Dare to Enter Disney’s Mirrorverse
Game development company, Kabam and Disney have announced the upcoming release of a brand new Role-playing game (RPG game) called Mirrorverse.
In Disney’s Mirrorverse, players enter an alternate universe where players must transform iconic characters into Mirrorverse Guardians and battle against a dark threat called the Fractured that is bent on destroying both realities.

Players of Disney’s Mirroverse will have the opportunity to see much-loved Disney characters in a way they have never been seen before, experience new narratives and compete with players across the globe.
Mirrorverse is scheduled for release on 23 June, 2022 on App Store and Google Play Store.
