It All Started With Vanguard Union…

First it was Vanguard Union, a comic that saw Comic Republic’s flagship character Guardian Prime team up with Nu Tech, Aje and several other heroes as they united to fight against a common threat and protect their people.

Then came Vanguard Aftermath, that looked into what resulted after the heroes fateful team up and now this 2021, Comic Republic will be releasing another brand new title – Vanguard Overwatch.

On the 21st of April, 2021 multimedia publishing company, Comic Republic will be releasing a brand new comic series titled Vanguard Overwatch.

Not many details have been given about the upcoming series, but fans of the the Vanguard can be assured that they’ll be delving deeper into the stories of their favourite superhero team.

Meet Pap Souleye- Fall the Comic Artist

Pap Souleye Fall is Senegal-based comic artist with a desire to tell stories about African in a fresh and different way. One of the ways he set out to do that was through manga. After a year spent on tweaking the story and drawing away on Procreate, Souleye-Fall finally had his unique story – Oblivion Rouge

Oblivion Rogue

Oblivion Rogue is a story that explores Western African folklore and themes of colonisation and neo-colonialism  in a unique way .

The comic follows the story of two women named Oumi and Aissa who are combat medics called Runners, Z a young outlaw escaping war trying to begin a new life in Warpland with his young brothers and father and a young aimless youth naimed Haaz looking for work.

Through this a story Souleye-Fall hopes people will see Africa in a different lense and in a fresh way and be aware of the multiple stories that exist within the continent.

Ever Heard of Jambox Games?

Singapore-bases start up, Jambox Games, specialise in creating platforms for game developers to gain, engage and monetize users. This company believes that “Building a successful gaming franchise is more science than art,” and as a result have decided to launch a brand new platform aimed to help game developers master that science.

Jambox Games’ New Publishing Platform

Jambox Games have recently gained $1.1m in funding to launch a new games publishing platform for independent game developers. The platform will focus largely on casual and hypercasual games and help developers publish their games and compete with more global companies.

Jambox aim to launch this platform in Southeast Asia where there is “tremendous talent” and were the games have “huge potential”, according to Jambox Games’ founder and CEO, Vikas Gulati.

So far Jambox have their gaze fixed on an initial launch in Indonesia, India, Vietnam with plans to expand to Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines later on.
