A Taste of Tatashe
Written by Lagos-based, award winning writer and comic book creator, Cassandra Mark, Tatashe is a bright coloured, cartoonish comic centred on a talkative young girl of the same name.
In humorous, anime-like fashion, Tatashe takes us on a journey to the world of Almonia where our protagonist goes on adventures to find magical food, the mysterious kingdom of Eden and her long lost master.
The first and second issue of this unique story gave readers just a taste of Tatashe’s world. But now, Comic Republic has promised to delve deeper into the comic’s universe with Tatashe #3.

Stranded in a strange territory, Tatashe and her new royal friend will have their courage tested on this new adventure.

Spider- Man into the Spider Verse Director’s New Studio
Award -winning director, writer and producer Rodney Rothman (Spider- Man: Into the Spider Verse) has partnered with former MGM Co-president of production, Adam Rosenberg to lead a brand new studio.
The duo has announced that their studio, Modern Magic will be geared on creating innovative, live action and animated “event entertainment” for 21st Century audiences.
Modern Magic also intends to partner with diverse creatives from writers, artists and directors to technicians and musicians to bring immersive and rich content to modern day viewers.
The company already has 20 projects in development, one of which is an animated feature based on the music of the late rapper, Juice Wrld and they are looking forward to exploring more ways of expressing “the emotion, artistry and humanity critical to 21st-century storytelling.”
