A Space for Black Artists

After seeing that a number of black creators struggle to showcase and capitalise on their art, the African Digital Art Network decided to launch a space dedicated to helping them do just that.

This space takes the form of an NFT market place called Nandi.

Nandi’s The Name

Nandi is a brand new NFT marketplace platform, launched by the African Digital Art Network, which enables Black artists to showcase their work whilst also gaining financial benefit from Web3.

According to Nandi’s co-founder, Chinedu Enekwe, the platform focuses on community whilst also serving as an ecosystem where Black creators and brands can get paid.

Though not considered as a complete solution to the problem, the NFT marketplace aims to finally help Black creators get their work seen.

NEWS BEYOND AFRICA – Animation/Movies

Parallel Man: A Sci-fi Film That Didn’t Fit The Mold

Created in 2014, the comic-book/video game spin-off, Parallel Man: Infinite Pursuit took years to be released despite a series of positive reviews. Not many studios wanted to air this particular sci-fi film because of its unique angle that catered to both adults and children.

But now, seven years later, Parallel Man has made its way into the world. Drawing on nostalgic watercolour and gouache paint styles of earlier animations and leveraging both 2D and 3D/CG animation, the film’s creator, Jeffrey Morris, has created something for the whole family to enjoy.

Step Into the Multiverse With Parallel Man: Infinite Pursuit

When super-soldier, Nick Morgan, discovers a vital piece of technology, he is pursued through Earth’s Multiverse by a group of commandos from a totalitarian regime.

Parallel Man: Infinite Pursuit is a sci-fi animation that transports viewers through a warped, dystopian world of steampunk cities and humanoid reptiles.
